But if it's updated and the whitelist isn't updated along with it, you could be in trouble. Then if you have a matching version as the one they have in their list, and the whitelist isn't changed, then you're probably good. So, if DE specifically put SweetFX files in their whitelist. But you don't necessarily know exactly when things are updated. Blanks are filled in after a while, certain rules overlap, etc.Ĭertain companies report their own guids on their releases, and others are pilfered from semi-authorized but stable and verified download sites. Basically, this happens because the reports that make up the list of unknown and somewhat unknown items are updated from 3rd parties and various sources. Then again, punkbuster used to go back and forth on detecting shader injectors in the past.
